Once as a small child when my Mom took me to see Bambi, I got frustrated in the middle of the movie and demanded to go home. I've been saying my whole life that Disney is evil. Below are some pictures from Disney's Website advertising their latest series of children's books called W.I.T.C.H. As you can see, its about 5 teenage girls (ages 13-14) who practice witchcraft. Disney is not only selling witchcraft, they are selling lust and astrology - to children! Look at the way they have them dressed!

Walt Disney once said, "I hope that we do not lose site of one thing - that it was all started by a mouse". He also said "Born of necessity, the little fellow literally freed us of immediate worry" and "Fantasy, if it's really convincing, can't become dated for the simple reason that it represents a flight into a dimension that lies beyond the reach of time."

Unfortunately, the fantasy that so many people are living is one that's not going to have a happy ending. They will end up in a very real Hell where they won't live happily ever after. One thing is for sure, the Disney Empire and the "Magic Kingdom" certainly have the ability to captivate minds with its fantasy. In an American Culture that thrives on being constantly entertained, The Disney empire has access into the minds of literally hundreds of millions of people. Even Christians will openly confess their affection and love for Disney and its animations. Many people love to hear stories and "take flight into a dimension" (as Walt would put it) that transports them away from present reality and into a world of imagination and fantasy, much of which can desensitize a person. Indeed, there aren't many things I can think of that surpass the ease and effectiveness with which a movie can hold a persons attention span for two whole hours. Walt Disney knew how powerful story-telling and visual animation were and he capitalized on it. Here is a partial list of holdings and brand names of the Walt Disney Company. In addition Disney owns scores of radio and television stations, newspapers, trade publications and magazines.

If Disney isn't a prime example of what the Bible means when it says "the World" I'm not sure what is. The world is subtley deceptive, just like Disney's WITCH book series which no doubt will begin a gradual progression towards the occult practice for some young people. Satan wants nothing more than for a person's life to be filled with things that appear to have meaning, but in the end have none and keep a person from tasting the truth. He tries to use a world filled with illusions and fantasies like the pictures above to fill our lives with things that only deceive and bear no fruit. It's like going to Disney World - none of its real, and at the end of the day, you've paid out the nose and don't have much to show for it. If the average life is compared to a day at Disney World, much of it is spent just standing in a line so we can go through the motions of yet another ride centered around some shallow theme. Sometimes it behooves us to ask ourselves why we do the things we do. Our hormones, instincts, emotions, indifference, and our lack of understanding oftentimes lure us around like animals as well. Meanwhile, God who is capable of using you in a mighty way calls us to forsake the things of World, forsake our flesh, and obey Christ. This means more than to simply stop sinning. It means to forsake life here on earth and all the shallow meaningless things that we mistakenly prioritize and live as a Citizen of Heaven carrying out a mission here on earth. Consider what Christ taught:

Matthew 6:20 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.

Mark 10:28-31 Peter said to him, "We have left everything to follow you!" 29"I tell you the truth," Jesus replied, "no one who has left home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for me and the gospel 30will fail to receive a hundred times as much in this present age (homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children and fields--and with them, persecutions) and in the age to come, eternal life. 31But many who are first will be last, and the last first."

Luke 19:15-19 "He was made king, however, and returned home. Then he sent for the servants to whom he had given the money, in order to find out what they had gained with it. 16"The first one came and said, 'Sir, your mina has earned ten more.' 17" 'Well done, my good servant!' his master replied. 1 Cor 6:2 Do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if you are to judge the world, are you not competent to judge trivial cases?

2 timothy 2:12 if we endure, we will also reign with him. If we disown him, he will also disown us;

Rev 3:21 To him who overcomes, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I overcame and sat down with my Father on his throne.

Rev 20:6 Blessed and holy are those who have part in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years.

In the spiritual realm of things or the "heavenly realms" as the Bible puts it there are 2 forces: God's Kingdom (The Kingdom of Heaven) and Satan's Kingdom (the World). The Bible teaches that during this present age, (the Church age) the World and its systems are still controlled to a large extent by Satan, and the job of the Church of course is to teach others about Christ so that people can be transplanted out of the World system (Satan's Kingdom) and into the Kingdom of God so that we can be free from the sin of the World and the flesh (and ultimately hell) and have Eternal life. Note the present tense of Ephesians 2:6 "And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus" This is important because the Bible teaches us that our citizenship is in Heaven with Christ and since we are now on his side, our allegiance is no longer with the World. It is important to have this overall understanding of reality. The Bible describes the spiritual realm (Eternity) as even more real than the temporal / physical realm. Since the physical realm occupies the same space and time as the spiritual realm, the war being waged against the souls of mankind occurs all around us everyday - On our TVs, in our colleges, in the music section at Wal-Mart, on your car radio, on billboards, on the Internet, and yes, even Disney World. In a World controlled by Satan: Falsehoods, deception, ignorance, materialism, greed, lusts, pleasure, pride, culture, TV, vanity, music, power, false religion, and all kinds of evil desires and entrapments work in unison to enslave people in bondage and keep them from knowing the truth and being saved. For the Christian it keeps them from reaching their full potential in Christ. In short, "it is the World, pulled over peoples eyes to deceive them." 

2 Corinthains 4:18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

It is not to angels that he has subjected the world to come, about which we are speaking  // In putting everything under him, God left nothing that is not subject to him. Yet at present we do not see everything subject to him.

Ephesians 6:10-12 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

Ephesians 2:1-2 As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient.

1 Timothy 4:1 The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons.
